The Shetland Creek wildfire measuring over 200 square kilometres burned structures and parts of the forest in Venables Valley. Residents including cows were evacuated to local towns and nearby campgrounds. 

After 2 weeks residents returned during the day to get supplies and care for gardens.  The fire destroyed three family homes and four smaller cabins. Tool sheds, fencing, outbuildings, cellars, and machinery were also lost.

We are seeking people to participate in daily building, farm and food preparation. Our mission is to manifest the vision of Varnasrama villages, as proposed by Srila Prabhupada and our Acharyas. 

We offer deeper insights into the fundamental values upheld in the Vedic culture, namely the importance of cows, farming and vedic knowledge.
